CONGRATULATIONS to the WINNERS of The Poker Pub 2010 National Tournament!
This year's Nationals were held at Binion's in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas on June 15th. From a field of 94 players from around the nation we crowned a champion when the final 4 players agreed to chop the prize pool! The overwhelming chip leader was David Wypychowski from Phoenix, Arizona! David had over 325,000 in chips! Second place finisher Leslie Quintano from Tucson, Arizona had over 120,000 in chips while 3rd place finisher Bruce Momich also from Tucson had almost 70,000 in chips and 4th place finisher Jeannette "Red" Charley from Sierra Vista, Arizona had less than 50,000 in chips. David walked away with $3,500.00 in CASH while the other 3 players each earned $500.00!
We witnessed some amazing poker being played throughout the day with a fair share of bad beats! We would like to congratulate EVERYONE that qualified and participated in this year's Nationals!

We will be having a meeting for all NATIONAL TOURNAMENT WINNERS who won a seat for the 2010 National Tournament Saturday May 15th, 12pm at Marc's. This is a MANDATORY meeting for players who are planning on attending this years tournament. If you are not able to attend the meeting on May 15th, we will have another meeting Saturday May 22, 11:30am at Pappy's. If you are not able to attend one of these meetings, you will NOT be able to play in the National Tournament this year in Las Vegas. Don't miss your chance to play in the $500 monthly tournament on May 22nd 1pm @ Pappy's. Every player who earned points during the month of April qualifies to play in the $500 monthly tournament. This is The Poker Pub’s opportunity to show you our gratitude for your continued support. The top 16 players nightly will earn points towards the $500 monthly tournament. Every player will start with a min of $3,000 in chips. You will earn additional chips by playing nightly and making the top 16 in any nightly tournament. So remember, the more you play, the more chips you will have at our monthly $500 tournament. Also, instead of choosing the nightly prize, you can take double points to increase your chip stack at the monthly tournament.
This will be our last $500 monthly tournament. After receiving your input from our survey we will be making changes to our $500 tournament and our TOC tournaments. We will begin having TOC qualifiers every other month and we will have a $1000 tournament every quarter. The change to the $500 tournament will allow is to pay deeper and give more players the chance to cash. We are making these changes based on the feedback we received from the survey we handed out in March & April. Most of you thought we were having too many major tournaments a month and mentioned that you would like them to be held every other month or once a quarter. The Poker Pub National Tournament will be held on June 15th in Las Vegas at The Sahara Hotel. This is your chance to test your poker skills against other players from around the country. The winner of The Poker Pub National Tournament will receive a $10,000 SEAT into the MAIN EVENT!

Tuesday at Il Primo will be DOUBLE STACK, DOUBLE POINTS,DOUBLE QUALIFIER CARDS, AND DOUBLE THE FUN. Everyone will start the game with $8000 in chips with the blinds starting at $100-$200. Everyone at the final table will receive double qualifier cards. This will give you bonus chips at the TOC qualifiers. Starting Nov 1st, your nightly points will count towards our monthly $500 “free roll”. The Poker Pub would like to bring some excitement back to the game by offering our players a $500 monthly tournament. Here is how it is going to work. The top 16 players nightly will earn points towards the monthly free roll. Your points will equal your chip count for the monthly tournament. For the first 1000 points you earn they will be multiplied by 5. If you earn more than 1000 points for the month, any points between 1001-2000 will be multiplied by 2.5 and any points from 2001 and above will be a 1x multiplier. Here is a example: John Smith earned 1650 points during the month, Johns starting stack will be $6,625 at the monthly tournament. This is The Poker Pub’s opportunity to show you our gratitude for your continued support. So remember, the more you play, the more chips you will have at our monthly $500 “free roll”. Also, instead of choosing the nightly prize, you can take double points to increase your chip stack at the monthly tournament.
